We are proud to share that for the first time in its history, the BlogHer conference will feature a keynote with world-renowned athletes focused on the important role female athletes play as an inspiration to women and girls, how playing sports can influence self-esteem and future success, and how we can all use the passion and perseverance of an athlete to achieve peak performance in other areas of our lives.
Check out the impressive list of women from various sports who will join us to talk about their passion and perseverance:
Moderator Donna Orender is a former All America and Professional basketball player, executive for the PGA Tour and WNBA President. Donna is now CEO of Orender Unlimited a business consulting company and founder of GENERATION W, a platform dedicated to connecting, inspiring and educating women and girls.
Laurie Hernandez is an Olympic gymnast and Gold medalist. Since bringing home the Gold and Silver medals at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, Laurie has gone on to win the “Dancing with the Stars” Season 23, and her first book titled “I Got This: To Gold and Beyond” chronicling her journey thus far will be published in January 2017.

The panel will kick off with a spotlight talk from Orender on the inner athlete in us all. The panel will also explore how these athletes use their considerable social media reach and influence for good.
We know you’ll see that these athlete’s journeys, trials, and tribulations are not so different from your own, and that you’ll be motivated by the persistence they demonstrate to constantly perform and succeed, much like we all do. Make sure you join us on Saturday during the Morning Keynote for exciting panel!
